History

Bringing back connection

Henri Meijer: When I first hosted my private dinners, the function was introducing people that I met on my journey, where I believed they should get to know each other. New friendships started to evolve, and it organically seemed to go into business and collaborations after the dinners. People began to help each other out. I selected my people not on their business or career achievement (because they are all successful at what they do) but on their kindness towards others, generosity in their knowledge, vulnerability, and the values that make them who they are.

After hosting my private dinners, I started experimenting with a Co-Host. 4 well-narrated dinners followed, co-hosted with Jasmine Werner, previous HR at Axel Springer. She selected people from the network, and I provided my Appartement in Berlin. I had the honor to cook and select the topics in my expertise. We hosted these in times of Covid-19 starting, when we were bound to the restrictions of Corona, but still could manage to keep the magic. When the rules tightened, we made a hybrid dinner with politicians and investors happen. Together with Andy assisting us with his fabulous way of waiter'ing'/sommelier, Christine Oymann recording the evenings with her drawings, Daniel Reynolds decorating the table high-end, and Jasmin Steidl capturing the emotions of the night on camera, we made unforgettable evenings at our table happen.

2021 Even tho we are in the middle of the Covid-lockdown, people want to become part of a 'community,' something that stands out. So we decided to bring it more into the open, create these extraordinary tables, but let our 'way' / concept be uncompromised. Without the inspiring people/guest, we would not exist; we look forward to creating more tables in 2021.
